Air Conditioner Tips
Check the air filter once per month and replace it as needed. This is especially important during the summer when dust and allergens circulate. If the filter becomes clogged, your system will have to work harder to supply the same amount of cool air.
Replacing filters is one of the easiest and most effective methods of caring for your system. It's a critical step in maintaining your system's long-term health.
Before calling your ac technician, make sure that you have checked the breaker and that it has not tripped.
You will need a technician to look over your system. In order for him to do so, it will need to be deiced. Turn off the system until the technician comes. He will not be able to work on it until it has defrosted
Heating Tip
When it is cold outside the system will get iced up. The defrost will turn on to melt the ice causing steam and sometimes you may see water on the ground near the system. If the system is not holding the temperature on the t-stat then by all means give us a call.
Thermostat Tips
Some Digital TStats have batteries and sometimes need to be replaced. See your manual to locate the batteries location or sizes. Should you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.
Often times your ac will have trouble trying to lower the temperature once you return and force it to run longer than necessary. Remember that each degree you dial below 78 increases your energy consumption by about 8 percent. If your monthly electric bill is about $100, you'll save $8 a month with EACH degree you can stand above 78.
